Compare cybersecurity providers in Greece through technical scope, delivery arrangements and verifiable evidence. Location alone does not establish security quality.
Clarify what requires local delivery
Identify whether you need an on-site assessment, evidence collection, a workshop or remote support. Agree language, location, access requirements and response arrangements. Being nearby does not guarantee faster incident response: availability, authority and contractual commitments matter. For cross-border work, establish which team performs the work and how sensitive information is transferred.

Verify credentials in their proper scope
Ask who will perform the engagement and how their experience relates to your systems. Distinguish individual qualifications from organisational certifications. Where a provider presents a certificate, verify the issuing body, validity and scope rather than treating the logo as evidence of every service capability. Request a suitably redacted sample deliverable; client confidentiality may limit what can be shared.

Compare the method and deliverables
Give shortlisted providers the same asset inventory and objectives. Ask how they validate findings, protect operations and handle unexpected access. Reports should explain evidence, impact, limitations and remediation. Clarify whether retesting, executive briefings and technical handover are included. Compare equivalent work, not only day rates or the number of automated checks.

Agree access and incident responsibilities
Define authorised contacts, secure exchange channels, retention, deletion and subcontractor involvement. Confirm coverage hours and escalation procedures in writing. Separate routine consulting from an incident-response retainer. A provider’s location or relationship with another organisation does not establish regulatory compliance or guarantee an outcome.
Prepare a focused first conversation
Bring a short description of your important services, current concern, relevant deadlines and known constraints. Avoid sending passwords, production data or unnecessary personal information with an initial enquiry. TRUST-IT can help scope assessments, investigations and improvement work for organisations and private clients. The engagement should state the actual team, method and deliverables before access begins.
